WEDNESDAY, 20TH FEBRUARY

Visit of Palazzo dei Normanni, seat of the Sicilian Regional Assembly. On the first floor is the Palatine Chapel, which is one of the most visited monuments in the island. One of the Regional Member will give a welcoming speech to the KODE group.
h. 12.00
Visit of Palermo’s city-centre, with some of its important historical monuments and squares.
h. 13.30
Brunch, at “Al 59” restaurant, where you can taste some delicious Sicilian specialities.

Teachers’ Meeting (discussion on project progress) and students’ workshops in Promimpresa school.

Dinner at “AL 59”.

THURSDAY, 21ST FEBRUARY

Visit of Monreale

Lunch at “Giada Restaurant”.

Student’s presentations in the meeting room at Mercure Hotel. Debate and comments on the presentations.

Workshop about Intercultural Communication: sign language and its importance in Sicilian culture (practical course on this alternative way to communicate).

Free time for dinner and to see “Palermo by night”

FRIDAY, 22ND FEBRUARY

Visit of Mazara del Vallo. This city is one of the best examples in Europe of racial integration: as it is one the most important fishing ports in Italy, there is a large community of north-Africans living there and perfectly integrated with natives.

Transfer to Marsala, lunch at “BAGLIO BASILE” restaurant

Visit of a the experimental winery of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil.
Sightseeing of Marsala’s saltworks

Back to Palermo and farewell dinner at “IL MIRTO E LA ROSA” restaurant
