Objective: Promimpresa, is a partner in the project ENSURE, which aims to enhance the disaster response capabilities of emergency responders, such as firefighters and search and rescue teams, in the face of increasing climate change-induced natural disasters like forest fires, floods, and extreme weather events.
Key Focus Areas:
- Disaster Response Capacity: Upskilling emergency responders to improve their efficiency and resilience.
- Innovation and Collaboration: Utilizing the Quadruple Helix Innovation Model to integrate technology, cooperation, human resilience, and community engagement.
Consortium: The ENSURE consortium consists of 20 partners from 9 countries, supported by 11 associated partners.
Project objectives are:
- Disaster Response Technologist (DRT)
- International Disaster Response Coordinator (IDRC)
- Community Resilience and Engagement Officer (CREO)
- Mental Health and Resilience Trainer for Emergency Services (MHRTES)
Objectives:
- Capacity Building Interventions: Modernize training and operational strategies for EU firefighter responders.
- Upskilling Actions: Design and implement targeted actions to enhance responders’ skills.
- Collaborative Networks: Strengthen networks among emergency responders, education, labor market, and society.
Dissemination and Sustainability: Ensure long-term sustainability and dissemination of successful practices.
